Are you a broad-based Solutions Architect who enjoys getting into the detail, connecting technology domains and turning business priorities into practical, deliverable solutions?
We’re partnering with an established and growing Australian organisation to appoint a Senior Solutions Architect to help shape and deliver a significant technology modernisation agenda.
The opportunity:
This is a newly created role with a broad technical remit, working closely with senior technology leadership to modernise platforms, infrastructure and the wider technology environment.
You’ll help translate business and technology priorities into practical architecture and design decisions, balancing technical quality, security, cost and deliverability.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and communicate solution architectures aligned with business priorities and technology strategy;
Contribute to hybrid cloud, infrastructure and platform modernisation initiatives;
Assess existing environments and identify opportunities to improve scalability, resilience, security and performance;
Work across cloud and on-premises infrastructure, networking, communications, end-user technology and application architecture;
Evaluate architecture options, dependencies, risks and trade-offs, ensuring solutions are practical and fit for purpose;
Collaborate with internal technical teams, project stakeholders and external vendors to support implementation; and
Share knowledge, support colleagues and help build architecture capability across the team.
About you:
You’ll bring significant experience in Solutions Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Architecture or a closely related field. You’ll be comfortable working across multiple technology domains rather than specialising exclusively in one application or platform.
You’ll ideally have:
Strong Microsoft Azure experience, including hybrid cloud environments;
Broad infrastructure knowledge covering areas such as servers, networking, security and end-user technology;
An understanding of application architecture and how applications interact with underlying platforms and infrastructure;
The ability to assess complex environments, investigate unfamiliar technologies and develop sound architectural recommendations;
Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
A collaborative, pragmatic approach, with sound judgement around technical trade-offs, commercial considerations and delivery constraints; and
Curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to share knowledge and continuously develop your skills.
Why consider this opportunity?
You’ll have the opportunity to influence a significant modernisation program, work directly with senior technology leadership and contribute across a diverse technology landscape. This is a hands-on individual contributor role suited to someone who enjoys variety, solving complex problems and seeing architecture decisions translate into real outcomes.
