We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a leading global law firm, this role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. Collaborating closely with colleagues across EMEA, you will be responsible for the availability, performance, and scalability of critical systems. You will work with platform and product teams to maintain, optimise, and improve infrastructure and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core infrastructure and systems;

• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to incidents;

• Collaborate on system design, capacity planning, and upgrades;

• Lead improvements in system stability, reliability, and processes; and

• Support cross-team initiatives to enhance platform performance.

About You

• Experienced with Windows, Linux, and cloud infrastructure;

• Familiar with storage solutions and networked environments (e.g., NFS, SAN, Ceph);

• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to system reliability;

• Comfortable influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders; and

• Exposure to scripting or automation is a plus, but not required.
