With momentum continuing across the Foodservice channel, they are now looking to appoint a commercially driven State Business Development Manager to lead growth across NSW.
This is not a transactional sales role.
This is a strategic commercial position focused on building partnerships, driving incremental growth opportunities and strengthening distributor and end-user engagement across the market.
About the Role
Reporting into senior state leadership, this role will take ownership across key Foodservice customers, distributor networks and industrial manufacturing relationships throughout NSW.
You’ll be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, executing commercial initiatives and driving profitable revenue outcomes across the channel.
The role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and who thrives building relationships in market.
Key responsibilities include:
Driving profitable growth across Foodservice and industrial channels;
Managing strategic distributor and end-user partnerships;
Developing commercial growth plans and forward forecasting;
Identifying incremental sales opportunities across the customer base;
Leading joint business planning and commercial negotiations;
Analysing market performance, trends and promotional effectiveness;
Partnering cross-functionally across planning, finance, operations and technical teams; and
Building strong stakeholder alignment internally and externally.
This is a highly visible role with genuine influence across the commercial function.
About You
You’re a commercially sharp Foodservice sales professional who understands how to navigate complex customer groups and drive sustainable growth.
You know how to build trusted partnerships, influence stakeholders and identify opportunities that create long-term commercial value.
Most importantly, you bring strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Backgrounds that could align well include:
Foodservice or FMCG sales;
State or National Account Management;
Distributor and route-to-market management;
Industrial ingredient or food manufacturing exposure; and
Complex channel and customer management experience.
You’ll also bring:
Strong relationship building capability;
High level communication and negotiation skills;
Analytical and commercially minded thinking;
A proactive and solutions focused approach; and
The ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
