  • Permanent full-time opportunity; and

  • Huge growth trajectory.

Have you worked in field collections and personally knocked on doors? Do you know what it takes to build rapport, navigate difficult conversations and achieve results in the field?

Our client is an established financial services organisation with a different approach to community debt collection.

While the business operates in debt recovery, its focus is on building relationships, having genuine conversations and working with people to find practical and sustainable ways forward.

The opportunity:

You will take responsibility for the performance, development and growth of the Victorian field team, which is currently 6 and rapidly growing.

This isn't a role where you manage from behind a desk. You will maintain your own collection portfolio, leading by example, and helping to develop the skills and capability of others to shape how the Victorian operation works.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading, coaching and developing the Victorian field team;

  • Setting performance expectations, monitoring results and addressing areas for improvement;

  • Maintaining your own collection portfolio and regularly getting out into the field;

  • Building relationships with customers and demonstrating best practice in doorstep conversations;

  • Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and training of new field agents;

  • Allocating workloads and territories to ensure resources are being used effectively;

  • Monitoring collection results, repayment arrangements, compliance and overall team performance;

  • Ensuring the team operates in line with relevant debt collection, privacy and regulatory requirements; and

  • Working closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to continuously improve and streamline processes.

What we are looking for:

  • Essential: Previous hands-on experience conducting door-to-door collections or customer visits;

  • The ability to build rapport quickly, manage difficult conversations and negotiate sustainable repayment arrangements;

  • A natural ability to coach, motivate and earn the respect of people working in the field;

  • Confidence working with KPIs, performance reporting and operational targets; and

  • A current Australian driver's licence and clear police check.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9.00am – 7.00pm; and

  • Friday: 9.00am – 4.00pm.

How to apply:
