About the Role

The Strategic Asset Manager will:

  • Develop and implement short, medium, and long-term asset renewal programs, budgets, and plans;

  • Manage and lead a team including existing staff and new hires, supporting their development and driving change;

  • Provide data-driven insights to inform investment decisions, optimise asset performance, and manage associated risks; and

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Planning, Maintenance, Commercial) and external stakeholders to deliver efficient, safe, and sustainable asset management**.**

Selection Criteria

  • Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related disciplines) essential;

  • Experience in strategic asset management, ideally in councils, universities, hospitals, or large-scale industries (aged care, hotels, or civil/building sectors);

  • Strong financial management, planning, and risk management skills;

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, with the ability to lead through change;

  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders; and

  • Willingness to travel across campuses; valid driver’s license and Working With Children Check required.
