Job Details

Opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax Specialist or Tax Manager to step into a 6 to 12-month contract for a market leading, ASX listed group.
 
About the Role:

This 6-12 month contract role takes end-to-end operational ownership of the group’s tax compliance, statutory reporting, tax effect accounting, and cross-border tax risk management.

This contract is ideal for a seasoned corporate tax specialist or Tax Manager who can step in, run the core tax cycles independently, and manage multi-jurisdictional reporting smoothly.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the group-wide tax effect accounting process for interim and full-year financial reporting cycles;

  • Prepare and sign off on group tax notes, reconciliations, and disclosures for the Annual Report;

  • Lead and manage end-to-end tax compliance across ANZ entities, including Corporate Income Tax, FBT, GST, and Withholding Tax;

  • Oversee international tax compliance obligations across offshore jurisdictions in partnership with regional finance teams;

  • Monitor domestic and international tax legislative changes across key operating markets and evaluate operational impacts;

  • Ensure adherence to group tax risk governance frameworks and recommend risk mitigation strategies;

  • Partner with Group Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR, and regional business units to provide pragmatic tax guidance on commercial initiatives; and

  • Identify and drive immediate efficiencies across tax data collection and reporting workflows.

About You:

  • CA/CPA Qualified;

  • 6+ years of corporate tax experience gained within an ASX-listed corporate group or complex multinational company;

  • Proven, hands-on expertise in Australian corporate tax legislation, tax consolidation rules, and tax effect accounting standards;

  • Understanding of cross-border transactions, transfer pricing principles, and international tax rules across APAC, US, and European jurisdictions; and

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with enterprise ERPs and consolidation platforms.
