About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Trainer to join a large Queensland-based utilities organisation delivering a major operational technology and network operations transformation.
This long-term program represents a generational uplift in operational capability, introducing next-generation systems, modern platforms and new ways of working across a complex, safety-critical environment. The work spans multiple initiatives and plays a critical role in preparing operational teams for sustained change.
The Trainer will be central to ensuring end users are confident and ready to adopt new systems and tools. Working closely with training, change and delivery teams, as well as technical subject matter experts, this role is highly collaborative and focused on practical, high-quality learning outcomes.
This role suits someone who enjoys not only designing training, but also facilitating and delivering sessions, both in person and online, to operational and technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing and synthesising technical content from vendor materials, Wikis, User Stories and sprint artefacts;
Designing and developing high-quality learning materials - user guides, work instructions, simulations, quick reference guides, and course catalogues;
Working with Training Analysts to identify the full suite of learning and support materials needed across the portfolio;
Preparing and packaging training content for delivery (F2F, online or self-service);
Facilitate comprehensive training delivery leveraging a variety of methods; and
Supporting post-go-live learning and uplift during key phases such as hypercare.
Essential Requirements:
A willingness and confidence to deliver and facilitate training sessions;
Experience with SCADA, EMS, or similar control systems in energy or utilities sectors; and
Experience in training content development and delivery roles.
