About The Organisation & Role 
 
This organisation is a well-established Australian company who operates in the financial services sector. They have a strong focus on their people and well-being and have a culture that encourages bringing your big ideas and drive to make a difference through your work.   
 
The organisation is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Manager to evolve the current WHS function for the remainder of 2026. The position will work two days per week in the Sydney office.  
 
Your role will look like this:

  • Foster and promote a positive safety culture by embedding proactive WHS practices across the organisation;

  • Provide expert advice to leaders on workplace safety, risk management, governance and compliance requirements;

  • Lead WHS programs including risk assessments, audits, emergency management and continuous improvement initiatives;

  • Partner with business leaders to identify, manage and mitigate workplace risks while strengthening organisational resilience;

  • Oversee contractor and supplier safety governance, ensuring consistent standards and compliance across all third-party relationships; and

  • Drive well-being, workplace experience and employee engagement initiatives, using data and insights to inform decisions and support sustainable change.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a Workplace Health & Safety role within a corporate, professional services or similarly complex environment;

  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation, compliance obligations and contemporary risk management principles;

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership teams;

  • Experience partnering with business leaders to deliver practical, commercially focused safety and well-being outcomes;

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate insights into meaningful action; and

  • Collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, with experience managing third-party providers and a genuine commitment to creating safe, inclusive and high-performing workplaces.
