  • Supervisory / Coordinator Leadership Role | Diverse Daily Tasks;

  • Annual Profit Sharing | Good Onsite Retention; and

  • Hallam Based | Australian Owned Organisation.

Your new company:

Your new organisation is a recognised leader in industrial maintenance solutions and pump technology, servicing a diverse range of industrial clients across Australia. With a strong reputation for delivering quality outcomes, they specialise in pump repairs, protective coatings, abrasive blasting and engineered maintenance solutions. Due to continued growth, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join their Melbourne operation and play a key role in supporting workshop performance and customer delivery.

If you are looking for an opportunity where you can combine your technical workshop experience with leadership responsibilities, whilst remaining hands-on and involved in daily operations, this role will provide the variety and challenge you are seeking.

Your new role:

Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, and commencing work at 6am Monday to Friday, your new role will see you assisting with the day-to-day coordination of workshop operations, supervising onsite and workshop-based activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Whilst this position carries leadership responsibilities, it remains a hands-on role where you will actively support workshop production and site works as required.

Your new role will involve; assisting with the coordination of workshop and onsite works, preparing quotations and sourcing parts, supervising workshop personnel, ensuring quoted delivery timeframes are achieved, maintaining stock levels, conducting stock counts, overseeing quality outcomes, documenting job information and photographs, coordinating resources, supporting maintenance of workshop equipment, and ensuring compliance with OH&S and environmental requirements.

There will be on the job training so some exposure to some of these tasks and not all – will still allow candidates to be considered.

What you need to succeed:

  • Proven experience within an engineering, industrial maintenance or workshop environment (3+ years);

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience ( 2 - 3+ years), with the ability to support and coordinate workshop personnel;

  • Understanding of workshop operations, production scheduling and distribution processes;

  • Ability to prepare quotations, source parts (strong weighting on purchasing) and liaise professionally with customers and suppliers;

  • Forklift licence and sound understanding of Occupational Health & Safety requirements;

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise workloads and problem solve effectively; and

  • A hands-on approach with a focus on quality, continuous improvement and achieving customer expectations.

What you'll get in return:

  • Permanent opportunity, generous annual employee profit shares with a well-established and growing industrial organisation;

  • Diverse role combining workshop supervision, customer interaction and hands-on technical involvement;

  • Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to operational improvements;

  • Excellent employee reward initiatives including family holiday gifting for employee of the year, monthly gift vouchers for outstanding performance, early Friday finish times, and performance based increases;

  • Supportive and collaborative team environment where your input is valued;

  • Stable workload across a broad range of industrial projects and customers;

  • Genuine opportunity to further develop your leadership capabilities; and

  • Competitive remuneration package reflective of your experience and contribution to the business.

We look forward to receiving your application and assisting you with your job search.
