Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the daily operations of the steel pipe yard and workshop;

  • Supervise, mentor and coordinate the workshop and yard team;

  • Manage inventory, receipting, stock transfers and annual stocktakes through EXONET;

  • Coordinate freight, dispatch and deliveries while liaising with transport providers;

  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks when required;

  • Maintain an organised yard, ensuring stock rotation and storage is managed efficiently;

  • Conduct pre-start inspections and coordinate servicing of forklifts, bandsaws and workshop equipment;

  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies;

  • Coordinate annual staff performance reviews and support ongoing team development; and

  • Work closely with the office and management teams to prioritise and allocate workloads.

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role;

  • Previous experience within the steel manufacturing, steel distribution or industrial logistics industry;

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and freight coordination;

  • Forklift Licence (LF) is advantageous but not essential;

  • A hands-on leader with excellent organisational and communication skills; and

  • Ability to work autonomously while fostering a positive team environment.

What's on Offer:

  • Join an established and respected Australian steel manufacturer;

  • Stable, full-time leadership opportunity;

  • Supportive management team and collaborative workplace; and
