After graduating with an Economics degree from Monash University, Angus joined one of the larger global recruitment firms as an Associate Consultant specialising in Finance & Accounting in the Melbourne market. He immediately felt that he had found his career, and over the next almost 5 years with this multinational, he was promoted on 3 occasions, finally assuming the position of Associate Manager.

Like many Australians, Angus was keen to travel overseas when the Covid restrictions were lifted, and so undertook a 6-month overseas holiday before returning to Melbourne in late 2023. He joined u&u’s Melbourne team to continue his specialisation in Finance and Accounting recruitment as a Senior Associate in January 2024.

Having successfully completed over 150 placements in the Finance and Accounting market in Melbourne, Angus has a deep understanding of both roles and companies within his market. He combines this with his extensive, but focused, network of over 2,000 Finance and Accounting LinkedIn connections to ensure that his shortlists leave his clients with ‘a tough choice between excellent candidates.’

Angus likes to share his expertise and insights with his candidate and client network, and thus is a regular host of events and seminars as well as the author of frequent Accounting and Finance market updates and salary surveys.
