Matt is the Principal leading the consulting engineering practice at u&u. He has over 13 years’ experience recruiting engineers and for the past decade has focused on recruiting engineering consultants with a focus on civil and structural design across the East Coast of Australia.
At u&u, he specialises in recruiting permanent and temporary consultants across civil and structural engineering on behalf of engineering and management consultancies as well as state and local government. Matt helps to match recently graduated engineering professionals up to business leader level take the next step in their careers, with deep networks in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA.
Matt is the Chair of the FutureNet QLD committee, helping young professionals in the built and natural environment develop networks and skills, and BuildingPride QLD co-lead, improving the careers and lives of LGBTQIA + people within the property, engineering and construction industries.

My favourite travel destination: Anywhere with a theme park - the bigger the rollercoasters are, the better.
The best advice you’ve ever been given: Life (and working in recruitment…) is a marathon of sprints, so if you lose one sprint it doesn’t mean you’re out of the marathon. Pick yourself up and move on to the next sprint.
