Don’t be afraid to give up good, to go for great
Rav recruits in-house and private practice lawyers across sectors and comes to the role after 20 years as a corporate lawyer and business development lead for top tier law firms and global fund managers.
Prior to u&u, Rav held senior leadership roles in major law firms, where he was instrumental in shaping strategy by building capability and driving client engagement. His experience also includes leading business development teams, advising law firm Boards on growth plans, and managing a pipeline of critical energy and infrastructure projects.
As a recruiter, Rav leverages his understanding of legal operations and industry trends to connect lawyers with opportunities that match their skills and ambitions, with his 360-degree perspective allowing him to provide bespoke advice that ensures long-term success for clients and candidates alike.
Beyond search and placement, Rav offers consulting services, including advising on market trends, workforce planning, retention strategy and the changing demands on legal teams. He also facilitates industry discussions and networking events, bringing lawyers and executives together for roundtables, panel sessions, and topical discussions on key industry trends.
In addition to recruitment, Rav is a certified executive coach, helping professionals navigate career change, leadership development and performance optimisation.
Outside of work he’s a keen runner, though admittedly spends most of his time now chasing after his two young kids.
Favourite drink of choice: A full-bodied Barossa Shiraz.
My favourite unique travel destination: Sri Lanka
If you had to choose your last meal on earth, what would it be?: A Sunday roast, with all the trimmings.
If you could relive any moment, what would it be?: Officially, the birth of my kids. Unofficially, the 2003 Rugby World Cup and Jonny Wilkinson’s winning drop goal (sorry).
