Delivering passion and professionalism to clients and candidates alike

Building on his qualifications in health and fitness, Shane spent the first 8 years of his career managing gyms and being a Personal Trainer for major multi outlet gym operators.

While he has never lost his passion for health and fitness, Shane recognised his ability to engage with, understand and build trust and rapport with people and parlayed this into the recruitment industry, joining a specialist IT consultancy in their Cyber Security team in 2018. He became so passionate about this sector that he started hosting Cyber Security events for clients and candidates and began to study penetration testing.

He then joined one of GWS’ larger recruitment consultancies, but still focused in the Technology sector, and it was here that his career really accelerated. His relationship building skills and ability to carefully match talent with opportunity, not only saw him promoted to Senior Consultant but he built his Sydney centric IT network to over 10,000 people on LinkedIn and achieved a score on Sourcr of 4.9 out of 5, for his ability to delight clients and candidates.

Three more years in Technology recruitment, including a period with a Supply Nation registered consultancy which taught him a lot about supplier diversity, led Shane to join u&u in 2025 as a Senior Associate in the Greater Western Sydney Technology team, where he will continue to focus on, and leverage his enormous network, in the Western Sydney Technology market.
