We are assisting our client with this newly created opportunity. This is an exciting time to join this organisation as they continue their growth and embark upon developing a new internal software engineering capability to support a dedicated, business-critical psychometric platform.

This organisation are at a critical phase as they transition a major business platform across from a vendor onto their own infrastructure. This means there will be different phases in the role, including transition, some stabilisation of the platform, performance and eventually some exciting enhancements.

We are therefore seeking an experienced back-end software engineer to assist in developing, maintaining and supporting secure backend services and API’s using .NET / C# to power this critical platform.

What your role will involve:

  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET / C#;

  • Work with Azure SQL stored procedures, data models, integrations and multi-tenant architectures;

  • Support live production environments and resolve complex issues;

  • Collaborate closely with the dedicated Product Owner, DevOps, front-end engineers and distributed teams across Australia, NZ and UK; and

  • Contribute to security, compliance and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong backend engineering experience with .NET / ASP.NET Core;

  • Solid database, especially with Azure SQL and complex stored procedures;

  • Strong API integration skills (RESTful API’s for system integration);

  • Experience supporting production systems in cloud environments (Azure preferred);

  • Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices;

  • Experience working with SaaS environments and data migration projects would be highly regarded; and

  • A proactive mindset and passion for quality, reliability and teamwork.

What’s in it for you:

  • Great opportunity to join an organisation with a fantastic culture and at a time of continued growth;

  • Work closely with senior leadership, reporting to the Group CIO; and

  • Play a key role in evolving modern SaaS platforms.

Be part of an organisation that makes a real difference where your skills contribute to, and impact the community in a positive way. The software you are building is purposeful, and your work helps people take their next steps toward independence and opportunity.
If you enjoy working across backend services, integrations and operational support, and are comfortable owning productions systems, this could be a very well-suited opportunity for you.
