A rare opportunity to lead and shape the engineering function at one of regional Queensland’s most significant water infrastructure organisations.

Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) is a commercial Statutory Authority responsible for supplying bulk water to major consumers across the Gladstone Region. With over 50 years of operational excellence, GAWB owns and operates a diverse portfolio of assets including Awoonga Dam, pipelines, pump stations and water treatment infrastructure.

GAWB is committed to delivering safe, secure and reliable water services while maintaining strong relationships with customers and the local community. The organisation continues to invest in innovation, sustainability and the long-term future of water supply across the region.

GAWB is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking 

 to lead its engineering function and provide technical stewardship across the organisation’s capital and operational programs. Reporting to the General Manager Capital, this role is responsible for setting the engineering strategy, leading a multi-disciplinary team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant and efficient engineering outcomes aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping engineering standards, supporting project delivery and guiding long-term infrastructure planning. Key responsibilities include:
