About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure, the Business Development Manager, Investment Attraction will play a key role in attracting and facilitating inbound investment, assisting with local business expansion opportunities and creating jobs in Brisbane.  The position will require proactive research skills to identify and then execute business development opportunities with national and international companies, especially within key industry sectors such as advanced manufacturing, health, tourism, property & construction, transport & logistics and business services.
 
The position will see you working closely with public and private sector allies to support businesses that are looking to invest and develop in Brisbane, while also working with the broader BEDA team to support the operational delivery of this reshoring process.  The position will also play a key role in contributing to the overall strategic plan of BEDA, providing end to end account management to clients and building strong working relationships with key industry and government stakeholders as well as BEDA Corporate Partners.
 
About You

This is an exciting opportunity to be a contributing member of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference to Brisbane every day. The right person for this exciting role will possess a successful track record of experience in business development, finance or investment attraction, preferably with exposure to one or more of the key industry sectors of focus and working with national or international clients. In addition, you will be highly motivated and proactive in your approach, curious by nature, you’ll possess well-honed research skills and be skilled at developing and operationalising business development opportunities.

Naturally, you will also need to be professionally presented and possess well developed communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, coupled with a strong understanding of the key drivers in business investment decision making.
