An opportunity is available for three experienced Organisational Change Managers to support a major ICT transformation within a Queensland Government client. These roles sit within a large, complex environment undergoing significant reform to ICT operating models, service delivery structures and technology-enabled ways of working.
Contract Details
Type: Hourly rate contract;
Duration: Initial 6 months, with strong potential for extension;
Location: Brisbane CBD (hybrid working; generally 2–3 days onsite, more as required); and
Start: ASAP (flexible based on notice period).
You’ll be embedded within ICT teams, working closely with technology leaders, delivery managers and operational stakeholders to enable business readiness for structural, process and system-related change. This is a delivery-focused role suited to change professionals with strong experience supporting ICT-led initiatives in complex environments.
The Opportunity
The organisation is undertaking a significant ICT reform initiative aimed at modernising service delivery, improving alignment across federated technology teams and introducing new operating models, platforms and ways of working. The change spans organisational structure, governance, processes and technology, requiring a pragmatic and coordinated change approach.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with ICT leadership to assess current operating models, team structures and delivery practices, identifying change impacts across people, process and technology;
Develop and deliver ICT-focused change strategies, plans and schedules aligned to program and delivery milestones;
Lead change impact assessments and readiness activities related to system, process and operating model changes;
Design and deliver targeted communication, engagement and business readiness activities for technical and non-technical stakeholders;
Support ICT leaders and managers to lead technology-driven change with their teams;
Manage complex stakeholder relationships across ICT, business and executive groups;
Maintain forward change schedules to manage interdependencies across concurrent ICT initiatives; and
Prepare clear, concise change artefacts to support adoption, transition and sustainability of new ICT capabilities.
About You
You are an experienced ICT change practitioner who understands how technology initiatives translate into operational impact. You are comfortable working alongside technical teams, navigating ambiguity and aligning change activity to evolving delivery priorities.
You will bring
Demonstrated experience delivering organisational change within ICT, digital or technology transformation programs;
Strong understanding of how system, platform and operating model changes impact service delivery;
Experience conducting change impact and readiness assessments for technology-led initiatives;
Confidence working across multiple ICT workstreams in fast-moving environments; and
A pragmatic, delivery-oriented approach with the ability to influence and advise senior ICT leaders.
Experience in government, regulated or large enterprise environments is advantageous but not essential.
