We are partnering with a highly specialised, global technology and engineering organisation with a Brisbane presence, seeking a qualified Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis (24 hours per week).
This role is ideal for someone returning to work, seeking balance, or looking to step into a stable, end-to-end accounting position in a professional environment.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of the Australian entity’s finance function. This is a standalone role suited to someone confident working autonomously and managing full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial & Management Accounting
BAS preparation and statutory compliance;
Month-end processing and reconciliations;
Preparation of weekly and monthly reports (including reporting to global head office);
Maintaining the fixed asset register; and
Assisting with annual financial and quality audits.
Project & Job Costing
Job costing and profitability reporting; and
Allocation of direct costs and recoverable expenses.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Supplier invoice processing and payment preparation;
Customer invoicing and debtor management; and
Cashflow support and bank reconciliations.
Payroll & HR Administration
End-to-end payroll processing;
Superannuation and tax payments; and
Maintaining payroll records.
Inventory & Cash Management
Recording stock movements and overseeing stock counts; and
Processing receipts, payments and international transfers.
About You
CPA / CA qualified (or working towards);
Strong all-round accounting experience;
Comfortable operating in a standalone role reporting to senior leadership;
Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar systems;
Strong Excel skills;
Highly organised with strong communication skills; and
Experience within professional services, engineering, technology or project-based environments will be highly regarded.
