As the Digital Program Director, you will lead the Lands Division’s digital transformation, driving the design and delivery of a strategic ICT roadmap aligned with whole-of-government priorities. This role will oversee large-scale digital, data and platform initiatives including multiple legacy system modernisations.
24 Month salaried engagement + possible extension;
Digital, data and operational uplift at scale;
50% WFH, based in Brisbane; and
Mandate to build and execute a strategic ICT roadmap.
As the Digital Program Director, you will:
Provide technical and strategic leadership for the Lands Division, advising on opportunities, priorities, budgets, risks and ICT requirements;
Develop and implement a division-wide ICT roadmap aligned with departmental and whole of government strategies to uplift capability and support legislative and operational objectives;
Oversee significant digital and data platform enhancements, ensuring best-practice solution architecture, hosting environments, security protocols and infrastructure design;
Lead multi-stream ICT programs, managing dependencies, risks and stakeholder engagement to ensure integrated, high-quality delivery outcomes;
Promote continuous improvement in ICT governance, data management and organisational change management to strengthen capability across the division;
Partner closely with the Chief Digital Officer, senior stakeholders and vendors to ensure alignment, compliance and effective service delivery;
Manage commercial negotiations, contracts and performance to support successful program delivery and meet critical government objectives; and
Foster a workplace culture that values collaboration, innovation, inclusion and high performance, contributing to improved outcomes for Queensland communities.
About you
Proven experience leading large, multi-stream digital or ICT programs;
Ability to translate strategy into delivery, managing competing priorities, dependencies and risk;
Experience delivering transformation across complex enterprise or government environments;
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement ICT strategies / roadmaps;
Strong capability in building and maintaining program governance, reporting and risk frameworks;
Experience managing operational, program and delivery risks;
Experience aligning ICT strategy with Whole-of-Government (WOG) or enterprise-wide priorities; and
Experience managing external vendors, reviewing contracts and overseeing performance.
Strong background in:
Legacy system decommissioning;
Platform consolidation;
Digital and data platform uplift; and
Working across mixed technical and information datasets.
