Lead the enterprise systems function that underpins critical digital services across a complex and evolving government environment.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior enterprise leadership role at the centre of digital delivery, systems ownership and platform enablement. You will shape how core enterprise systems are governed, integrated and optimised to deliver reliable, secure and value-driven services across a large and evolving organisation.
Working alongside the Chief Digital Officer and senior leaders across architecture, delivery and security, you will play a key role in ensuring enterprise systems are stable today while being actively shaped for future needs.
The Opportunity
You will lead a multi-disciplinary function with responsibility for:
Defining and maintaining the enterprise systems service strategy aligned to digital strategy, long-term business objectives and investment priorities;
Developing and managing service roadmaps for enterprise platforms, including lifecycle planning, capability uplift and future-state optimisation;
Maintaining end-to-end accountability for system performance, availability, resilience and value realisation;
Overseeing system lifecycles including upgrades, enhancements, integration, optimisation and decommissioning;
Partnering with Enterprise Architecture and Delivery to ensure alignment to architecture standards, delivery governance and change frameworks;
Leading release, upgrade and change activities to minimise disruption and ensure effective service transition into BAU;
Driving service management maturity across incident, problem, change and release management to improve stability and responsiveness;
Embedding strong governance, risk and compliance practices across enterprise systems in a regulated government environment;
Ensuring systems enable integration, data quality and interoperability to support effective decision-making;
Providing input into investment planning and business case development through system performance insights and operational knowledge; and
Leading multidisciplinary teams across systems, service management, vendors and support functions, building accountability and continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience leading enterprise systems, applications or platform teams in complex, multi-stakeholder environments;
Strong background in service management, operational governance and lifecycle management across enterprise platforms;
Demonstrated experience with systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar large-scale corporate systems;
Experience managing vendors, contracts and ICT procurement in enterprise or government settings;
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and navigate competing priorities;
A track record of improving service performance, stability and operational maturity in evolving environments;
Sound understanding of governance, risk and compliance within government or regulated organisations; and
A leadership style that brings clarity, accountability and momentum while supporting continuous improvement.
