Are you a commercially astute finance leader who thrives on turning complex data into strategic business decisions? We are seeking an experienced Forecasting & Modelling Manager to lead the development, review and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide forecasting, budgeting and corporate modelling capabilities. This is a high-impact leadership role that will partner closely with senior executives, the CFO and Board to deliver the insights that shape the future direction of the business.
 
As a key member of the Enterprise Planning, Reporting and Analysis team, you will drive the delivery of integrated financial forecasts, corporate models and investment evaluations across a complex operating environment. Leading a team of finance professionals, you will champion best-practice forecasting methodologies, automation and data-driven decision making, ensuring the organisation has a robust "single source of truth" to support strategic growth, performance and investment outcomes.
 
Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the end-to-end coordination and delivery of company-wide budgets, forecasts and long-range financial plans;

  • Manage the annual budgeting cycle, including governance, stakeholder engagement, communications, timelines and assumptions management;

  • Drive continuous improvement of forecasting processes, tools, automation and reporting capabilities;

  • Develop and maintain robust 5-year and 10-year financial forecasting models to support strategic planning;

  • Lead scenario, sensitivity and risk analysis to inform Executive and Board decision-making;

  • Establish and maintain driver-based revenue and cost models across the organisation;

  • Prepare high-quality Government, Board, Executive and management reporting packs, providing commercial insights and recommendations;

  • Lead annual asset valuation modelling and reporting processes;

  • Review and challenge investment cases and financial models prepared across the business;

  • Maintain a centralised assumptions framework to ensure consistency and integrity across all forecasting and modelling activities;

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing forecasting and modelling team; and

  • Build strong relationships with Executive Leadership, operational stakeholders, auditors, government agencies and external advisors, providing trusted strategic advice on forecasting and modelling matters.

About You 
 
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline;

  • CPA, CA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification;

  • At least ten years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), forecasting and financial modelling within a complex organisation;

  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise budgeting and forecasting processes;

  • Advanced financial modelling expertise, including three-way models, valuation and investment analysis;

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging Executive and Board-level audiences;

  • Experience using advanced Excel, Power BI, data modelling tools including SQL and Python capability;

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor, influence and build capability across teams; and

  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
