About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead residential building projects from inception through to completion. This hands-on leadership position combines strategic project oversight with practical site management, requiring someone who can balance technical carpentry expertise with strong organisational and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise, and oversee all phases of residential construction projects;

• Supervise on-site teams and subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance and quality standards;

• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve issues promptly to maintain project momentum;

• Apply carpentry skills to contribute to and oversee framing, cabinetry, and construction activities;

• Monitor budgets and resource allocation across projects;

• Communicate directly with clients, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout the build process;

• Implement quality control measures and ensure compliance with building codes and specifications;

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular progress reports; and

• Lead safety protocols, conduct site inductions, and foster a positive work environment.

About You

You're a seasoned construction professional who combines hands-on carpentry skills with proven project management capabilities. You excel in leadership roles and are committed to delivering quality outcomes on every project.

Essential Requirements:

• Substantial high end residential (or new build commercial) construction experience with strong carpentry background;

• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and coordinate subcontractors;

• Thorough knowledge of building codes, regulations, and quality standards;

• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels;

• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail;

• Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance; and

• Professional presentation and ethical approach to work.
