CopperString is a nationally significant transmission infrastructure project that will support Queensland’s energy transition, improve system reliability and enable regional economic growth across North and North-West Queensland.
The project represents a major State-led investment in energy infrastructure, with delivery planned over the coming decade.
Your Role
The General Manager – Corporate Affairs is a critical executive role responsible for leading Government engagement, stakeholder relations, communications and community engagement across the full project lifecycle.
The Role will
Establish and lead a fit-for-purpose corporate affairs function;
Drive Government, community and stakeholder engagement strategies;
Maintain strong social licence and community confidence across the project corridor;
Lead media, communications and reputational management activities;
Support engagement with landholders, communities and First Nations stakeholders; and
Partner with the CEO and executive team to ensure clear, consistent and proactive messaging.
About You
You are a senior leader with significant experience across corporate affairs, stakeholder engagement and government relations in complex infrastructure or public-sector environments.
You will bring:
Experience leading engagement across major infrastructure, energy or government-aligned projects;
Strong capability working with Government, community, media and regional stakeholders;
Experience managing high-profile or sensitive environments;
Ability to lead teams and influence across complex stakeholder landscapes; and
Experience within a GOC or similar public-sector aligned environment will be highly regarded.
