A newly created opportunity has become available for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join a growing construction business with a strong pipeline of work across Queensland.
Supporting projects across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and regional Queensland, this role will suit a safety professional who enjoys building relationships on site, mentoring supervisors and contributing to the ongoing uplift of HSEQ systems and culture.
This is a hands-on, site-based role based in Brisbane, working across approximately 10–12 active projects, with exposure to both operational teams and senior leadership.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the HSEQ Manager, you will partner closely with site teams to provide practical HSEQ support across a diverse construction portfolio. The business is continuing to expand rapidly and is investing heavily in strengthening its systems, leadership capability and safety maturity.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting multiple project sites across Queensland;
Coaching and mentoring supervisors to build safety capability;
Conducting incident investigations (ICAM experience highly regarded);
Assisting with claims and Return to Work processes;
Supporting internal auditing and compliance activities;
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across HSEQ systems;
Reviewing and supporting quality management processes; and
Partnering with operational leaders to drive positive safety outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
Previous HSEQ experience within construction or high-risk environments;
Experience working within site-based/project-driven operations;
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
Exposure to ISO-certified safety and quality systems;
Experience using systems such as HammerTech, Lucidity or Breadcrumb;
Ability to lead quality incident investigations and corrective actions;
RTW exposure or willingness to further develop in this area; and
Lead Auditor qualifications (advantageous but not essential).
Most importantly, you will bring a collaborative and coaching-focused approach, with the ability to influence and support site teams without adopting an overly directive style.
