About the Role

The Internal Sales Executive plays a key role in driving revenue growth through proactive sales activity and strong customer relationship management. This position is responsible for maintaining and expanding existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities. The role also supports broader sales operations by ensuring seamless internal processes, accurate forecasting and high-quality customer engagement.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end internal sales process, including preparing quotations, processing orders, maintaining pricing, managing contracts and coordinating customer communications through the ERP system;

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, fostering engagement across multiple stakeholders within key accounts;

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities while supporting the growth of existing customer accounts;

  • Provide dedicated support to contract customers and work closely with the external sales team to ensure exceptional service delivery;

  • Assist with the preparation of tenders, proposals and customer submissions as required;

  • Deliver technical product support and practical solutions to customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction;

  • Conduct product and technical training sessions for customers and colleagues when required;

  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity and pipeline opportunities within the CRM system;

  • Drive revenue growth through proactive account management, identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling and account expansion;

  • Continuously develop product knowledge through training, industry events and professional development opportunities; and

  • Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers, Sales Managers and sister companies to support business objectives and deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in internal sales, sales support, customer service or sales administration within a B2B environment;

  • Experience within the electrical, engineering, manufacturing, industrial, energy, utilities or technical product supply sectors will be highly regarded;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;

  • High attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage systems, quotations and data;

  • Effective negotiation skills;

  • Good technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate product information;

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); and

  • Ability to prepare quotations and produce sales reports.
