Container Exchange (COEX) is a not-for-profit organisation created to establish and run the Containers for Change scheme in Queensland. They focus on reducing container litter, increasing recycling efforts and helping communities benefit through paying refunds to individuals, charities and community groups.

The Role

Reporting to the Area Manager (Regional), The Network Lead – North Queensland is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operations of COEX’s network of operators throughout the north Queensland region (north to Ingham, south to St Lawrence and west to Richmond).
This role plays a critical part to the success of the Containers for Change scheme, through fostering strong relationships with external operators and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient and compliant service delivery.

More specifically, you will be involved in the following:

• Proactively building successful operator relationships through regular face-to-face visitation and timely support;

• Work closely with operators and internal stakeholders to problem-solve and drive the efficient operation of the network;

• Collaborate with operators to maximise recovery rates and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth;

• Conduct regular operator site visits and audits to monitor performance against agreed objectives and KPIs;

• Providing timely customer service to operators and operating with a high level of professionalism and integrity;

• Implementing process improvement initiatives to control network costs and improve customer experience and satisfaction; and

• Maintaining accurate customer records and completing regular reports.

• Demonstrated success in an Account Management or Relationship Management role, which has seen you work with internal and external stakeholders to drive performance outcomes;

• The ability to adapt your style and approach to suit a wide range of clients and work environments;

• Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety principles (preferred);

• Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;

• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including the ability to foster trust;

• Reliable and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and

• A valid Queensland driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
