About the role:
We are working closely with our government client to secure them an experienced Project Manager who thrives in complex environments, can navigate senior stakeholder relationships and knows how to bring technical teams together to deliver outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
You will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a critical data and reporting program focused on improving data quality, reporting capability and future-state information management practices.
Working across business and technology teams, you will build trusted stakeholder relationships, drive project outcomes and provide the leadership required to bring structure, transparency and accountability to delivery.
You'll play a key role in supporting modern reporting and data platform initiatives while helping establish effective governance, Agile ways of working and delivery best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex data remediation and reporting transformation project;
Manage senior stakeholder relationships across business and technology functions;
Drive project governance, reporting, risk management and delivery planning;
Facilitate collaboration between technical delivery teams, business stakeholders and vendors;
Support Agile delivery practices, sprint planning and team coordination;
Help establish stronger delivery hygiene, governance frameworks and project controls;
Lead project workshops, steering committee reporting and executive engagement activities;
Work closely with reporting, analytics and data teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes; and
Oversee vendor engagement and ensure project objectives are achieved.
You will bring experience in:
You are an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record delivering complex ICT projects and programs within large enterprise environments;
Extensive experience delivering large-scale ICT projects from initiation through to implementation;
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build credibility at executive level;
Experience leading multidisciplinary technical and business teams;
Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and Scrum practices;
Experience working alongside development teams to improve delivery effectiveness and team performance;
Strong governance, reporting and risk management capabilities;
Experience delivering reporting, analytics, data or business intelligence initiatives;
Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills; and
A proactive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to bring people together and drive outcomes.
Highly regarded:
Data remediation or data quality program experience;
Reporting, analytics or business intelligence transformation experience;
Modern data platform exposure;
Government or highly regulated environment experience; and
Experience working within complex governance frameworks and assurance environments.
