This values-based organisation is currently seeking an experienced Return to Work Specialist to proactively support employees and leaders within the business. Working as part of a broader Safety and Wellbeing team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on tailored return to work plans.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee injury-related cases by coordinating claims, recovery plans and communication between internal teams, insurers and external specialists;
Guide leaders and employees through complex absence management, ensuring safe, timely and sustainable return-to-work outcomes;
Design and track tailored recovery programs aligned to medical recommendations and operational requirements;
Build capability across the business by coaching leaders on managing workplace injury, illness and extended absences;
Analyse injury and absence trends to recommend proactive initiatives, strengthen frameworks and improve overall workplace wellbeing; and
Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure cohesive, high-quality injury management support.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are searching for a proactive, empathetic specialist with strong technical expertise who confidently manages complex injury cases and partners effectively with leaders to achieve safe, sustainable outcomes.
Key Requirements include:
Comprehensive understanding of injury management laws and obligations across multiple Australian jurisdictions;
Accredited return-to-work or rehabilitation coordination qualification;
Proven capability managing illness, injury and compensation matters from assessment through to successful return;
Skilled communicator able to influence, build trust and navigate sensitive conversations; and
Detail-driven professional who safeguards confidentiality and remains composed when managing challenging or emotionally sensitive issues.
