The company is proudly Australian owned, manufacturers locally and services a wide range of industries such as a hospital and healthcare, food processing, food and beverage manufacturing, retail shopping centres, warehouses and distribution facilities to name a few. Due to growth, there is currently an exciting opportunity to join the company in the newly created role of Sales Manager.
The role
Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands-on sales leadership role that will form part of the senior management team and will play a key role in driving the next stage of the company’s growth.
More specifically, you will be involved in the following,
Providing leadership, coaching and guidance to a team of Business Development Managers and Internal Sales staff;
Playing an active role in business development to drive growth within new sectors;
Implementing and overseeing a structured sales process, KPIs, reporting and forecasting systems;
Working as part a close-knit senior management team to implement and refine operational processes;
Creating a close-knit, high-performance and accountable team culture within your direct team; and
Building strong industry relationships and referral partners to assist with growth.
Required skills / Experience
Prior sales leadership experience with demonstrated experience achieving sales growth and building sales teams;
Well-developed people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire;
Prior experience in the building and construction sector, or a related industry would be an advantage;
A consultative, solutions focused and genuine style with prior experience selling customised solutions;
Highly motivated and results orientated with a history of achieving results;
Sound computer skills; and
Willing to travel regularly within Southeast QLD and hold current driver's licence.
