Are you a highly analytical finance professional with a passion for financial modelling, valuation and strategic decision support? We are seeking a Senior Corporate Modelling Analyst to play a critical role in shaping business decisions through the delivery of robust corporate models, investment evaluations and strategic financial analysis. Working within the Enterprise Planning, Reporting and Analysis team, you will provide the insights and modelling expertise that support Executive and Board-level decision making.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-value projects spanning renewable energy investments, thermal assets, corporate initiatives and long-term business strategy. Partnering with stakeholders across the organisation, you will develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, challenge investment assumptions and provide commercial insights that help drive the organisation's future direction.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain and enhance complex corporate finance and valuation models that support strategic planning and Executive decision-making;

  • Deliver investment evaluations, business case analysis and scenario modelling to assess risks, opportunities and long-term financial outcomes;

  • Maintain and continuously improve the organisation's integrated corporate model, including funding, capital structure, asset valuation and portfolio scenarios;

  • Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support major investment, operational and strategic decisions;

  • Manage key corporate assumptions and ensure consistency, transparency and governance across all modelling activities;

  • Maintain critical decision-support tools, including cost, valuation, impairment and long-term planning models;

  • Review and challenge financial models, investment proposals and business cases prepared across the organisation;

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for a range of audiences;

  • Support the integration of forecasting and corporate modelling frameworks to strengthen enterprise-wide planning capabilities; and

  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Strategy, Asset Management and operational teams to support informed business decisions.

About You 
 
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline;

  • CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification;

  • Experience in corporate finance, financial modelling, valuation, consulting, advisory or investment analysis;

  • Advanced financial modelling skills, including large-scale integrated corporate models;

  • Strong corporate finance expertise across valuation methodologies, NPV analysis, WACC and financing structures;

  • Experience evaluating investments, long-term business scenarios and asset valuations;

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity;

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences;

  • Advanced Excel proficiency and a commitment to modelling best practice, transparency and auditability;

  • Experience with analytical and visualisation tools such as SQL, Python and Power BI;

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines;

  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with strong commercial acumen and attention to detail; and

  • Energy industry experience is preferred.
