For over 20 years, WorkCover Queensland has been a self-funded, government-owned leader in the state’s workforce, providing empathetic and efficient workers’ compensation insurance. We are currently embarking on an enterprise-wide transformation guided by our 2030 Strategy. This is an exciting chapter focused on keeping Queenslanders working through innovation, integrity, and high-quality service delivery.

They are seeking a Senior Manager, Employer Governance & Reporting to play a pivotal role in enabling our Employer Group strategy through best-in-class data, governance and reporting capability.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the GM Employer and sitting within the Employer Group Leadership Team, this role is central to ensuring the Account Management function is set up for success - with the right data, systems, processes and reporting frameworks in place.

This is a high-impact, build-and-shape role. You will co-design elements of the employer strategy while leading key initiatives such as CRM implementation, analytics uplift and the development of account management frameworks.

While there are no direct reports initially, there is clear scope to build and lead a team over time.
 
Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Governance & Enablement
rn

  • Enable the Employer Group strategy and Engagement Plan through robust governance and reporting frameworks;

  • Co-design employer strategy, segmentation and account management frameworks; and

  • Lead governance processes, including incident management and audit support.

rnData, Reporting & Insights
rn

  • Establish trusted data, dashboards and reporting to drive performance and decision-making;

  • Deliver meaningful insights on employer trends, risks and opportunities; and

  • Lead the reporting cadence across the Employer Group.

rnSystems & Transformation
rn

  • Own and lead CRM implementation and optimisation;

  • Partner with Technology to uplift systems, integrations and data capability; and

  • Drive analytics capability, including dashboarding (e.g. Power BI).

rnCapability & Stakeholder Engagement
rn

  • Build governance and reporting capability through coaching, training and mentoring;

  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders, including the GM and ELT, providing clear and actionable insights; and

  • Support the Account Management function to lift performance through data-driven approaches.

rnAbout You

You’re a commercially minded and strategically focused leader who enjoys operating in greenfield or evolving environments, where you can build, influence and deliver tangible outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience in data governance, reporting and analytics leadership;

  • Proven capability in CRM development and/or optimisation;

  • Experience designing and governing enterprise-wide frameworks with commercial rigour;

  • Exposure to audit processes, governance and senior stakeholder briefing;

  • The ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights;

  • Experience in workers’ compensation is highly regarded; however, backgrounds in insurance or financial services (e.g. superannuation) will also be considered; and

  • Exposure to Power BI and experience building capability in others will be advantageous.
