This is an exciting chapter focused on keeping Queenslanders working through innovation, integrity, and high-quality service delivery.

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Employer & Stakeholder Engagement to lead a critical function focused on strengthening employer relationships, uplifting capability and driving performance across the Employer Group.

**About the Opportunity
**
Reporting to the GM Employer and sitting on the Employer Group Leadership Team, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering WorkCover’s employer engagement approach.

Leading a team of Account Managers, you will bring structure, discipline and consistency to how the team engages with employers. You will help shape and embed a segmentation approach, supported by clear frameworks, engagement cadence and performance expectations.

Working closely with the GM and a peer Senior Manager, you will co-design and deliver the Employer Strategy and Engagement Plan, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience across all employer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, coach and uplift a team of Account Managers;

  • Embed structure, engagement cadence and performance frameworks; and

  • Drive a culture of accountability, capability and continuous improvement.

Strategy & Engagement

  • Co-design and execute the Employer Strategy and Engagement Plan;

  • Lead targeted engagement approaches across employer segments; and

  • Oversee external events, forums and stakeholder engagement activities.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships across government and private sectors;

  • Engage with key stakeholders including employers, brokers, unions and industry bodies; and

  • Influence outcomes through strong, commercially focused engagement.

Customer Experience & Systems

  • Drive a consistent, high-quality employer experience;

  • Support optimisation of CRM systems and account management practices; and

  • Champion data-led decision making and new ways of working.

Governance & Collaboration

  • Ensure strong governance, reporting and risk management across engagement activities;

  • Partner cross-functionally to improve employer and claims outcomes; and

  • Provide insights on employer trends, risks and performance.

About You

You are a forward-thinking and people-focused leader who thrives in environments where you can bring structure, lift capability and drive meaningful engagement outcomes.

You bring:

  • 5 - 10+ years’ experience leading account management or stakeholder engagement teams;

  • Strong capability in customer segmentation and strategic engagement;

  • Experience working with complex stakeholder groups (e.g. government, unions, brokers, industry bodies);

  • Proven ability to lead through change and uplift performance;

  • Experience with CRM optimisation and embedding best practice frameworks; and

  • Experience in workers’ compensation is preferred; however, backgrounds in insurance (particularly personal lines) or financial services (e.g. superannuation) will also be considered.
