Working across a diverse portfolio, you will play a key role in building trusted relationships, delivering high-quality engagement outcomes and helping communities and stakeholders stay informed and connected.
The Opportunity
This role sits within a high-performing team delivering stakeholder and community engagement across major infrastructure projects throughout Queensland. You will work closely with project teams, government stakeholders and community groups to support effective, timely and meaningful engagement.
No two days will look the same — this is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and being close to the action.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver stakeholder and community engagement activities across infrastructure projects;
Prepare clear, engaging communications and engagement materials;
Support consultation processes, including planning and delivery;
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Manage competing priorities and deadlines across multiple projects; and
Provide on-the-ground support for engagement activities when required.
About You
You are proactive, organised and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You enjoy taking ownership and are confident working both independently and as part of a team.
You will bring:
5 – 8 years engagement experience with minimum 2+ years’ experience in the private sector, ideally within a consultancy environment;
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities;
A self-starter mindset with the ability to work autonomously;
Experience working in fast-paced, project-based environments;
Exposure to infrastructure, construction or major projects (highly regarded); and
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline;
International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Certificate highly regarded;
Current driver’s licence;
Willingness to work flexible hours depending on project requirements; and
Ability to complete a police check and medical (if required).
